"Me and my friend had a wonderful stay at this house. The owner, Bill was extremely kind and accommodating and took time to tell us about the island and give great recommendations for food (Vine Street foe example). We stayed had everything we needed and were able to enjoy the nature preserve on the island. At night we even heard an owl right outside our window. Hope to return in the future!"

"We stayed here at the beginning of the off-season and we were the only guests so we had the entire place to ourselves. It is very conveniently located at close walking distance from the ferry (we did not have a car). The owner also has bikes that we were able to borrow to go visit some of the beaches and surrounding areas on the island. The bright enclosed verandah was great to relax and play some games of chess or read a book. We enjoyed trying some of the restaurants on the island, but also went into Greenport since it was so easy to access via the ferry. Overall stay was very convenient and enjoyable. Thanks Bill!"

"House On Chase Creek is the perfect place where to stay on Shelter Island in any season - the foliage is beautiful, the beaches are close by and Bill, the host, has many bicycles available to explore the island. The house is very charming, each room has its own character, the beds are SO comfortable! And the little veranda at the Parlor level is perfect for reading, having a tea or play chess. Bill can help you with any questions you may have about the island, he can recommend restaurants, cafes for breakfast, nice hikes. He is super kind and fun - plus if you return after the first time you’ll get a free mug from House On Chase Creek. Looking forward!!"

"Extremely charming and relaxing location. You can get to Greenport shops and restaurants on foot via the Shelter Island north ferry which is walking distance from the inn. Can't wait to visit again. The inn keeper's dog Jessie is a sweetie."

"We had an amazing time in Shelter Island. The Inn was just as pictured. Awesome place to unwind! Bill was an amazing host. The linens and bed were so comfy. Bicycles available and location was amazing , close to restaurants and small shops. We plan to return."
