Meadowlands View Hotel

"The place was obviously in the middle of renovations, which was not mentioned anywhere when booking the room. We were on the 7th floor and the elevators did not work. We were told maintenance would not be coming over the weekend and there were no other rooms available and we had to use the stairs while being charged full price for the room."

"Do not come here. Beware. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights on Saturday. Upon returning for our second night which was already booked, all of our belongings were missing from the room. Several hundred dollars worth of food and clothes (and an invaluable family heirloom) were carelessly stolen by the housekeeper. The room was completely full of our belongings and it was obvious we were NOT checking out. The entire room and refrigerator contained food items and our belongings. The hotel manager Vivian still will not refund us for the 2 nights. He was rude and unhelpful in resolving the situation. As an MBA graduate, the management of this place disgusts me. All they will tell me is the housekeeper thought we were checked out, so she proceeded to throw away all of our belongings, as per their policy. What???? How is this place operating? They are operating illegaly. The manager and also an employee Parth (Peter) told us the garbage was searched, and all that was found was a pair of my stockings. All of the other items were gone. This place commits theft and robbery. Please consider before you book a stay here, if they ever open again. Right now Google shows this "hotel" as temporarily closed. It needs to be permanently shut down. I will be involving law enforcement if we are not at least provided a refund and compensation for for this horrible "mistake." Please beware and stay away. The air is also extremely unclean and left both my boyfriend and I with otherwise unexplainable severe asthma symptoms for multiple days."
