"Unique Experience, 3 Man Show Property There is no "outside" signage seems like personal property used for business purpose; which is very well maintained. You'll receive a email from the owner giving you lots of information about how to reach the hotel and what is in the area. The total staff members are 3 including the owner; The owner gives you great advice for visiting places in NYC. The subway is just 5 5 minutes walk. Each room has a different theme and name which are beautiful and specious very well decorated with antique furniture and fully equipped with a microwave, fridge, kettle and TV. From Hotel to time square it will take you approx 20 minutes with a taxi charge of $25. - There is no lift; the staircase is very steep I carried my all bags to the forth floor."
"We booked a room 1 week ahead of our stay. Check in was quick and easy. Inn keeper provided information on local transit and provided a Subway map upon our arrival. We stayed in Ella's suite an area named for both Ms. Ella Fitzgerald and Muhammad Ali. The suite was clean, comfy, and quiet. The Inn is close to City College NY, and a healthy walk from uptown's historical sites. The locals were polite and helpful. My only regret is we didn't stay longer! I wanted an organic NY experience in a location with historical significance. Im satisfied! Looking forward to coming back."
"A quiet brownstone style home on the north western side of Manhattan. The place has a push lock to get in the front door. A very traditional entry hall greets you with an old house feel. If you pet the resting cat it will follow you around and ask for more. Don't expect a welcoming party, but don't be afraid to walk through to the next room. The bald man wearing a goatee sits at a computer and he uses as few words as possible. The room is filled with books and Jazz style art. He'll take your payment, offer you a map, and expect you to take your bags upstairs. The stairs are old and creak heavily. We stayed in the Big Mama room at the top. It was a spacious room with all the fixings. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was adequate, and there was a full range compliment of electronics and appliances. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance to many great restaurants and sites. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Harlem."
"*** ERROR*** Our visit was to the Sugar Hill Inn in Sugar Hill New Hampshire. Recently we enjoyed our 5th trip to the Sugar Hill Inn. It is our favorite New England Inn with attention to the little details that make a difference. I appreciate their focus on fine dining. Chef Val is the best in the area and quite frankly creates one of the finest dining experiences we have had anywhere. Steve, the owner, has developed a fine wine list and always makes the perfect suggestion to pair with our meal. My wife always saves time for a massage. Susan, the Massage Therapist is excellent. its the perfect way to relax from a day in the mountains. Over the course of our visits we have stayed in a number of the rooms. each is unique with its own character. This time we stayed in the Perennial Cottage. It has excellent view of Mt Lafayette. We like the details such as original art by local artists, and in room Nespresso. I know we shall return again for another visit."
"SERIOUSLY, this place is BAD NEWS! Like others, I too was left without a room despite booking 5 weeks in advance and having a confirmation. What's worse, it was for my wedding night! I choose this place because it was close to our reception venue and seemed like a charming place. To be fair, the place did seem nice from the dining room I stood and waited in for more than 30 minutes as Jeremy (the owner) talked to his wife on the phone about their travel plans to Trinidad and argued about a green couch. When he was done, he turned his attention to the lone person in the check in area (me), and told me I had only made the reservation the day prior (instead of the 5 weeks ahead I had actually booked it) and informed me I didn't have a place to stay on my wedding night. He scrambled to call colleagues in the area to find a spare room and I stood and waited for another 30 minutes. I had expected to check-in quickly, drop some bags, and put a bottle of champagne in the fridge to cool; but the more than an hour of waiting and then the additional time to find my way to the other hotel and park had a knock-on effect and delayed our ceremony. I've been all around the world to some really basic accommodations, some with language barriers or in rather sketchy places and honestly I've never had as much trouble or as rude or terrible service as I did with these clowns. These guys are amateurs and a-holes. If you want peace of mind knowing that you actually have a place to stay, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!"
