"$5.50 for a small load & $1 for a POD of detergent, small load is literally only a hoodie, 2 shirts, 2 leggings, 4 socks & underwear. I just saw a homeless guy with a cigarette to go around place looking to steal ppls loads and now he's charging his phone here. Of course it's not the job of the staff there but I'm just letting you know. The staff is very sweet but they welcomed that person, he was walking around freely and smoking a cigarette :( They also don't have a sink to wash hands and I'm highly allergic to detergent on skin. The cycle is only 25 min, my stuff didn't wash off even from a coffee stain :("

"The good thing about BKM Laundromat is that it is quite convenient for me, being located just a block below Port Authority Bus Terminal. The washing machines and the dryers are highly efficient. The cost? Well it's Manhattan; what can you say? There are however, also a number of drawbacks. First and foremost, this place is plainly and simply way too small for its' own good. With just 18 active public washers (and 8 more either reserved for wash and fold use, or broken), and this place being high volume, even at 2 on a weekday afternoon, when really no one should be in there, I had to wait first, five minutes to get to doing my wash. Then came the much larger annoyance, having to wait nearly fifteen minutes to then dry my clothes. The reason why? With 18 washers, they only have a paltry 12 dryers to handle 18 small and large wash loads. And anyone who has been in a laundry knows it doesn't take like ten minutes to finish drying; it takes considerably longer. So while my normal time spent in the laundromat should be about 45-50 minutes with a couple of items as I do, here I end up clocking in at nearly an hour and a quarter. Thank God this isn't my regular laundromat. It's honestly a surprise more tempers aren't lost here."

"Nice simple laundromat along 8th Avenue. $5 for the smallest machine, $7 for medium, 25 minute wash. $1 for detergent. $0.25 per 6 minutes for the dryer. Friendly and helpful staff."

"The laundromat service was friendly and stacked with new laundry equipment. The washing machines are front load, and the dryers work really well. If you are going to wash your clothes, you can be in and out with 25 minutes to wash your clothes and 48 minutes to dry them. The dryers are large enough to hold 4 loads. They do offer a drop off service, currently going for $1.25/lb of clothing. They also have dry cleaning here by item. The establishment opens at 9 AM for self-service and last call for washing and drying clothes at 6 PM. If you come after that, they will not allow you to wash your clothes."
