"They did an absolutely wonderful job altering and pressing a bridesmaids gown for me. Wonderful service and kind people. Will definitely return to them for any altering or dry cleaning needs."
"They did a phenomenal job in altering two dresses even though I was terribly anxious about the outcome and as a result, a picky customer. But trust them — they are experts and they will do an amazing job on your formal wear."
"Superb service!! I brought a number of items, cashmere, silk, viscose and they all came back perfectly fresh and feeling brand new again. Also great for repairs. My new go to in the neighbourhood for cleaning and alterations."
"This is my second time using Kay French and the first time I had no issues. The people working there were very kind. However, this time when I went to pick up my dress, I found that they sewed the extra button on one of the sleeves to cover up a hole! I would have rather been told there was a hole than to have them try to “fix it” by adding a button that is NOT meant to go in the middle of the sleeve. Very bizarre thing to have happened, but disappointing because the hole would have been easier to fix without a button attached to it. I normally never leave reviews, even if something is not great, but this was shockingly bad."
"The other day, my building decided to out of the blue paint all our apartment doors. (You know where this is going). They knocked on our door and let us know painting was being done, but neglected to tell us that it was the whole door, and they only told us it was the side of the door. Soooo my newly bought Aritzia white parka coat took the brunt of the black paint. Upsetting, not the end of the world, I decided to spot clean it myself. Dish soap, detergent, tide pen, even vinegar. I was frustrated because while this coat is only a coat, it was $350, and because of the condition it was in, I wouldn't wear it out due to it looking like a sloppy mess. But also didn't want to waste the coat. I took it down to Kay, and I've never been here. Immediately she told me I shouldn't have tried anything but she'll try her best. The dry clean took $75 for this huge coat, but she didn't leave me in hopeful spirits - I was ready to come back to a still stained coat. Today, I picked it up and it looks as good as new. It was incredible! I have never used their wash and fold services so I can't speak on that, but I do love how warmly they treated me. Reading other reviews, it does seem they run on the pricey end but my experience was great so I don’t mind spending more to support a small business."
