"In the past, a long time family friend took care of all the alterations for wedding gowns and dresses in my family. She has since retired from her work, so I was in need of a new place for alterations. When I purchased my wedding dress at Grace Loves Lace, the salesperson recommended Moline Kronberg as they had experience with these intricate gowns. When I called initially, Leonardo was very helpful with all of my questions about the process and how it would align with my timeline for my wedding day. For my first fitting, they were ready for my appointment and took their time to ensure that my gown would fit to my liking. When I picked up my dress, it was exactly how I had imagined. The attention to detail, customer service, and kindness is unmatched. The seamstress who took care of me was super sweet, knowledgeable, and very attentive to detail. Wedding planning is stressful, but their help put me at ease. Definitely recommend their services for alterations. "Miracle workers! I have a vintage dress close to 100 years old (belonged to Miss Rhode Island 1923) that I wore back in 1986. It sat in the back of a closet for 30 years until my daughter decided to wear it to her prom. When I pulled it out, it was stained and looked terrible. I scoured the internet for restorers in New York—very dissatisfying— until I finally found Moline-Kronberg. The reviews seemed almost too good to be true—I could only hope that they’d live up to the wonderful comments posted. I brought the dress by and they were completely honest with me—“99.9% of the time we can bring things back. This may be that .1%, so we’re just warning you. We will try our very best.” They called to keep me updated on their progress, and when I went to pick up the dress, I was thrilled that they’d been able to restore it as beautifully as they did. They told me they’d spent upwards of 6 hours carefully soaking/washing the dress. They were able to keep the hundreds of pleats intact, which they’d initially been concerned about. I realized that they cared as much about the dress as I did, and felt an incredible responsibility about doing a good job. This is why so many reviews mention that they feel like family when you’re done working with them. Such a gratifying experience working with people who really care."
