Reviews
"It is very disappointing that I have to write this review. I contracted this business back in March to do the job in April. The job was paid in full (cash) and some extra for tip. The job was done, except for placing 5 tiles on the ceiling and patching some painting parts that were incomplete. I was happy with the job, although it took 3 extra days to complete it, because the owner, Tommy, was running in and out taking care of “Other” jobs. I didn’t like this, but said nothing. I just wanted my job to be done with. In the end he promised to return to complete the jobs mentioned above. 5 times we set a date, 5 times, he didn’t show up. No call, text or any sort of communication explaining why I was left waiting. When I got upset and posted a review here and on his facebook, he had the nerves to FINALLY text me upset, and in the defensive, saying that I was inconsiderate for not taking into consideration that he was sick and had landed in the hospital. I took a step back, wished him well, and told him to contact me when he was well. Never did. When I contacted him, we set up a date and time again. Then, NOTHING again. He did this to me 5 times. I am done with this business. I had recommended him to 5 people, which I just told them what he did to me, and they want nothing to do with him. I am hurt and disappointed. I treated Tommy with consideration and respect and I feel disrespected by his shady self. If you don’t want to be left out to dry, DO NOT HIRE HIM. I'm sure he will respond to this review with a defensive, obnoxious answer as he did before, but facts are a fact and he is irresponsible and unreliable."
"Tommy and his team are a great!!!. We were referred to Tommy from a friend. After reviewing the job in a timely fashion, and providing a reasonable quote, we hired him to do some interior painting of our basketball facility. He and his crew showed up on time, were respectful and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend them!"
"You do not need to hire a person with a PhD degree to paint your house, but you DO WANT to find somebody who is professional, reliable and easy to communicate to work with. Unfortunately, Tom is not such a person you are looking for! A lot of the things Tom promised was never done! We hired him to paint our house recently after an on-site quote. We usually come to the house to check at the end of the day when they left and call him to discuss the progress. But after one week, he suddenly disappeared and we were unable to contact him with multiple phone call, texting or emails. I was worry about that and suspect during these modern days, lost contact for 4 days only happened either kidnapped by an alien or had a stroke/intubated in the hospital ICU unable to communicate, but turns out that he used a poor excuse to explain which is easily to be figured out that either did not exist or exaggerate too much as it didn't make any common sense! Tom, If you are providing professional service, sometimes communication is equally important as the job itself. What happened to us is exactly as previous one star review from Dan "Tommy is very flaky will frequently be unresponsive to phone calls and texts, He will also no call and no show and will blame it on text messages not going through." (I don't know Dan, but Hi, Dan, when I refer to your review, Tom said you are a drug addict and can not be trusted, you may contact him to clarify if that's not true!). Second, look at the job itself, I do not need say too much, I have attached some photos here for future reader to judge by themselves. These are the paining charged as finished work!!! Do you want your room to be pained like that? Due to the poor quality of the work and unreliable/unprofessional which caused frustration working with him, after two weeks, we ended up fired him as we had to move in even it has not been finished yet. We need to look for a new painter to finish his lousy job. It was a disaster experience working with Imagine That Painting & Remodeling. Important to future customer, if you are looking for a painter and planning to happily move in once finishing the painting, I recommend you carefully read all the reviews listed here when make your decision. Remember, if it happened more than once, most likely it is not random thing!"
"Tom was very friendly and easy going. We trusted him throughout the whole process and felt confident in their work. Tom, Danny, and Walter did a great job and finished the project quicker than expected. They worked long and hard everyday they arrived. The job was thorough, they cleaned up nicely, and our cabinets look brand new! We look forward to using their services again. Would definitely recommend this team!"
"Tom is a nice young man and presents well; however, we were disappointed with the overall job done for the following reasons: 1. TOM did not follow through on what he stated would take place at the time of the contract signing; 2. TOM was not 'on-the-job' as he said he would be; instead he dropped off 3 workers on the first day who were not clearly told what the job entailed. As a result, we had to call Tom to advise what was included in the contract. 3. Clean-up was not adequately done; 4. Desk lamp was broken by one of his workers; 5. Paint was left on newly installed door hinges (Tom originally stated that doors would be removed along with hardware and doors would be SPRAYED outside - that did not happen). 6. Door hardware was not re-installed on 2 doors 7. TOM did now show up on days/times he said he would to complete the job. So, a 2 -3 day job (scheduled for Wed, Thurs, Fri) did not get completed until the following Wednesday after several phone calls to him. Be cautious....TOM was highly recommended to us by Molly at Sherwin Williams in Huntington. I did advise Molly of our disappointment!"
