"It was closed. No hours posted on the door. Phone just rang. Needed a key, went to Home Depot"
"He can make any key. He is last of the real locksmiths. Safe cracking is still a thing if you lose the combo. He has made skeleton keys for me and rekeyed skeleton locks. He has suplied new yale office lock sets. and Medico master locks. great company. they often close in the afternoon to do road calls or home service."
"Sometimes an owners attitude or personality is enough to put someone off, regardless of the product. I never made it inside the store and I wouldn't want to after interacting with the owner out front. He may have a pretty storefront compared to the rest of the block but that doesnt give anyone the right to act as if they are above. Humble yourself and maybe people will actually come in.... (Added tip: he lives right above the store, that's why he opens when he feels like it..lol)"
"It's the only place I go to get my keys cut correctly after two debacles with the KeyMe Kiosk outside BB&B in Mount Vernon. The owner good at his job no complaints there. However, the store itself reminds me of an antique shop that is in terrible need of clean air ventilation. There is stuff practically everywhere along with cats lazing around in plain sight and not so plain sight (last time I counted there were 4 or 5). But, I am not bothered by the cats, I am bothered by the uncleansiness and the suffocating air. With all that said, It was and still is a good place to go to cut your keys at a reasonable price by a HUMAN BEING and NOT A MACHINE that screws up more than once and costs an arm and leg that only takes exact change."
"Been trying to get in there for weeks can't figure out his hours. Sometimes he's open other times closed. I'm about to give up on him, tried calling no response. I used him the past, awsome locksmith, one of the old time greats, really knows his stuff...all good if you can get a hold of him, good luck, please let me know if you find him open."
