"I want to share a story about one worker from Maximum Electric. I was in the BayTerrace shopping center, Bayside today, July 30 at 9am and a Maximum Electric truck was parked next to us as pulled into the spot. My husband and I were both wearing facemasks …the reason we were wearing facemasks ….I just got out of the hospital a week ago after having a stem cell transplant for my cancer. My husband got out of the car to go into a store & this very ignorant individual started shaking his head at me and laughing at me because we were wearing masks as if we were just some Covid crazy people. I screamed at him to ask what he thought was so funny and his partner must have said close the door. When my husband returned, the started to drive away. If my husband got a hold of this guy, things would have turned ugly because I was in tears and I wouldn’t want that but wow did he deserve it! I took their picture as they were driving away and he continued to stare at me. My message is this… you never know what’s going on in someone’s life! Open your mind just slightly that maybe someone is going through something that requires them to wear a mask and keep their loved ones safe. I called Maximum Electric to let them know that their employee made me feel so horrible but the only person I could speak with could care less. I asked him for the owner of the company who wasn’t there and apparently rarely comes into the office. They told me he did but usually between 6 and 8 AM and that’s the only time they’re in the office so I asked if I call back tomorrow at 7 AM will I get him? The answer was “oh I really don’t know” so really they just didn’t care that their employees are such mean and unkind ,horrible representatives of their company, but I hope that someone else and hopefully him, will read this and maybe open their mind a little bit to think that someone could have cancer and that’s the reason they have to wear a mask. Or…maybe it will have to take a person like this to be diagnosed with cancer to finally get it!"
