Reviews
"First off. Do not be fooled by the couple 5 star reviews this company gets. I ran the one 5 star review with praises sung to Ironhorn through an AI detector and the results came back as 100% AI generated. I then tested it through a couple more, and the results--unanimously agreed. The amount of scam, cheating, and irresponsible gauging of the customers that come to Ironhorn is unprecedented. Will never use them again for services and do not recommend to anyone."
"This company is rotten to the core. I wanted to buy a property but there were so many red flags that they try to hide. They even offered a lower price to skip the indepedant inspection to hide the obvious defaults. From my friends' experience, the roof of their rental was caving in, the backyard was a mess and the company did nothing to ensure a better experience. My friends and I are deeply disappointed in the company's services."
"I’m normally not someone to complain in a public way, leaving reviews and ratings. However, after being shammed by this company in the recent purchase of my home, I feel it’s necessary to warn others. They can say up and down “they didn’t ask for an inspection” or “no one had been living in the home for years” as was previously stated under their other business name “Cleghorn Properties LLC” to the Better Business Bureau, however, why are these even necessary if there is nothing wrong with the houses they flip? Not to mention, they would gladly pick someone who refuses an inspection offering thousands less to avoid any issues than someone who wants an inspection done but will pay more. Why? Because they will blame “no one living in the house” and then give the spiel of the house being bought as is, while disclosing no information on the non-disclosure agreement, saying unknown for most of the valuable, optimistically advertised features of the house when asked when something was replaced. I am a first time home buyer. I know how crazy the market is right now, and your best offers are almost always beat out by someone who must make easily 6 figures. We were currently looking to purchase a home that would fit myself, my husband, and 3 kids. Our real estate agent brought up this house, and with the rose colored glasses that were handed to us at the front door, with it being a great looking house, we put in our offer and they took it. We did not order an inspection as no one is currently with the market, or you will never compete if you can’t offer about $50K more than asking price, which is already high. Closing day came. We did our walk through and noticed almost every single door wouldn’t close. At first, our thought was maybe the heat made the doors swell. Looking further, most of the doors don’t even fit the frames, or the frames are crooked. We also noticed a piece of deck wood, unpainted, laying on the deck. We move it a little only to find it was covering a rather large gap in the deck boards. They were asked for a $500 credit for the doors and almost immediately after agreed. We ended up closing, paying $250,000 under the impression everything else was fine. The next day after moving in, we try to use our dryer and immediately my husband smells gas. He calls National Grid, who fixes the issue - there was some pipe added to the gas pipe with the valve closed when we did our walk through, and because this was installed incorrectly, it was causing a gas leak when opened. The technician fixed it easily within 15 minutes. With something that’s a safety hazard like a gas leak, that is very easily fixable, it seems like that would be something a good contractor wouldn’t make a mistake with. We also happened to notice that the central air wasn’t working. This was one of those aforementioned optimistically advertised but not disclosed issues. We contacted our people who contacted their people, and they sent a guy out that day. He then told us, most likely by accident, that when working on the house, the other contractors told him not to touch the AC, just anything to do with the furnace. Fishy, don’t you think? To make matters worse, it has been unbearably hot lately, and we can’t enjoy the parts of the house that we like and are looking forward to making our own because of this, since we forked out all the money we had. Our lawyers contacted theirs and just heard back 3 weeks later, saying they sent another person out to look at it, which is false, as I work from home and no one except 1 neighbor has come to knock on our door. I attached the pictures as examples of what I’m addressing. Currently, it is 7:50 pm and our house is at 84 degrees. If it weren’t for the price we paid, and the suspicious hidden agenda that seems so obviously set in place, we would move on. Given the situation, and clearly how little care was put into renovating the entire house to make an extreme profit off of innocent people, there is a lot of concern with how they handle their business. Definitely warning others to steer clear…"
