"First time at Sollecito and I will definitely be back! Phenomenal selection of plants and shrubs, and most important to me - great customer service! Eric Johnson helped us out with picking the right plants for our project and spent extra time with us to insure that we knew just how to insure that they'll thrive. His professional advice was invaluable. Thank you Sollecito! A five-star experience."
"If you're looking for landscaping plants, than these folks have a huge, and I mean huge selection! Everything looks very healthy. The grounds and structures have a real bohemian look, and the place worth a visit just for the interesting art. However, the retail establishment doesn't jive with that... Essentially just landscaping plant supply. No boho greenhouse. No cool little store."
"Had a very magical & empowering experience today! While I had a general idea of the landscaping I wanted in front of our shed (flowing grasses) I don’t know much about what type of plants work best together. I came into Sollecito with photos of my space and owner/designer Megan Sollecito sat down with me for a (free!!) consult (while I enjoyed complimentary coffee). She created a map of my space, oriented with the directions & dimensions she looked up on google earth and created a perfect design for my project. We walked through the plants she suggested together and she worked with my taste & budget to ensure everything would work for me. The last photo is the plants I came back with & Megan taught me how exactly to fertilize and settle the plants into their new home. I’ll add a photo of the final project when it’s finished! I also was taught how to care for the plants. Overall an amazing experience & I will definitely return for future projects."
"All I can say is, "WOW!" The assistance I received was beyond good, and the gardens in the center appear to be hand selected for beauty. I needed advice on breaking up my clay soil, and buying a hydrangea bulb, or seeds. I was told that I would have better luck finding a hydrangea that has already sprouted. I accepted that. I also needed advice on the red lily beetles that ate many of my garden plants this year (first spring in Syracuse, from Mexico). Jessica was an example of customer service at it's best."
"I've been a client since 2000 and I love this place! Where do I begin? First, I LOVE to visit the nursery. All the plants look so healthy. I love to see all of the blooming plants and the changes as the season changes. The majority of the plants, trees, shrubs are in pots and planted in the ground instead of stacked on racks and trays over tarvia. Only a few are displayed on wooden carts or tables. This might be why their plants always look so fresh and healthy. And I believe their plants are really healthy and are worth the money I spent on them. Over the years I've purchased perennials at other places for less money, but those plants didn't last as long in my garden as have the plants and trees I've purchased at Sollecito. But what I really love is their advice! I am a DYI accidental gardener with a brown thumb and little extra time to do this gardening thing. Whenever I have a question or problem, I snap a photo and go into the nursery to ask for advice. Everyone there is so patient with me, and they help me choose the right plant or product to address my concern. They are big on education and provide lots of FREE documents to explain how to plant or prune, etc., AND they also take the time to explain what you need to do to be successful. My garden would be a disaster without these folks!"
