"TERRIBLE COURT ADMINISTRATOR!!! ONE OF THE RUDEST INDIVIDUALS I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE! If I could give less than 1 star, I would, because this woman deserves it!!! My mother had a doctor's appointment today and wanted me to pay a ticket for her online (a small violation). I had no information regarding this ticket, so I called the court for some assistance. I connected with this woman, who gave me a speech on how I don't have the ticket number. Finally, she was able to find the ticket and informed me that the court date is today and my mom would need to appear in court. I informed her she couldn't, and is there a way I can dismiss the ticket since it was a small violation? She stated I could pay for the ticket online (gave me the ticket information). I logged into the online portal, and oddly enough, I can't pay it online. I called back and stated I just called and spoke to someone regarding paying my mother's ticket online; however, it states I cannot pay it online and I have to contact the court. The woman tells me, "I speak to 1000 people a day." I said okay can give you the ticket information. She miraculously found it and stated, "Okay, I have to take off the court date." She took off the court date and then said I should be able to pay online. I said, "Okay, thank you. Is it okay if you stay on the line so I refresh my page to make sure I can pay online?". She said, "No, I cannot.". Honestly, if you don't like your job, that is one thing, but if your job is literally to help people and you have a nasty attitude and everything bothers you, then you should reconsider your job. I lived in this city my whole life, and I am embarrassed to have someone represent our court in such a disgusting/awful way. This town is beautiful, and we have tons of amazing individuals who strive to be professionals at many different levels. This woman is not one of them, and she does not represent what Perth Amboy is. I hope this reaches the right individuals and something is done about it."
"Rec'd a parking ticket on Barclay St while expecting to pick up a family member in the hospital, waiting for him to be discharged. It was raining and getting dark, I was stressed. There is no cover or light over the parking kiosk. Thought I did everything properly, but after having to wait 2 hours for him to be discharged, came back to the car with a ticket. I don't have time to go to court, so just paying fine but really this parking meter system stinks."
"The woman (lucky to be addressed as such in this context) answering the phone has the most arrogant , disgusting, and disrespectful attitude I have encountered in a very very long time. The city should be embarrassed to have this type of representation in any facet of its departments. She is extremely rude, has absolutely zero interest in helping people calling in looking for assistance because that is her job otherwise have someone else answer phone calls without it making it seem like a pestering burden to do so. I have called in the past and was given inaccurate zoom information for court, which in turn, caused me to miss court. Other times I have waited on hold for an absurd 40+ mins only to be hung up on conveniently right when they closed for the day. This won't be addressed internally because no one cares , but this operation is a disgrace to Perth Amboy"
"If you pay a fine, keep the receipt or you may get a notice saying you never payed. This happens. If you have a court date. You MUST call, they may send you a notice or they may not. This is a very common thing with them. When you miss court they make sure you get the notice for a warrant. Then you have to go and pay bail. No second notice for court, no reschedule date, just bail. After posting bail you have to call again to make sure of the next court date. When I was there to pay the bail, the guy next to me was there for the exact same reason, never got a court notice."
"Prosecutor and citing officer are generally stubborn and unwilling to admit they are wrong even when I cite the law and how everything I did was legal and shouldn't have been cited a ticket resulting in several appearance just to have the case dismiss for failure of a speedy trail. The court officers and clerk are polite, discovery department attitude depends on the day of the week. I also don't understand the judge conflict of interest, I spoke to a judge once several years ago that a conflict but the judge talks to the same officers everyday or in one case the father of a local officer and that not a conflict. Our legal system needs some serious amending so we stop wasting innocent individual time."
