Welcome to the Cemetery of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption, a sacred resting place located on Florida Grove Road in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Serving the Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic community across Middlesex and Northern Monmouth County, our cemetery is an integral part of the parish's rich heritage and spiritual life.

Our parish belongs to the Byzantine Catholic Church, an Eastern Catholic Church with unique liturgical traditions, and is in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church under the spiritual leadership of the Pope. As a part of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia, we proudly uphold our rich traditions and vibrant community life.

The parish is a diverse and welcoming community, comprising descendants from pre- and post-World War II immigration waves, as well as recent immigrants from Ukraine following the fall of Communism. We are committed to preserving our cultural heritage while embracing families of various ethnicities who cherish Eastern Christian spirituality and traditions.

In addition to our cemetery, our parish has been home to the Assumption Catholic School (ACS) for over 50 years, and hosts active church groups dedicated to charitable works and nurturing both social and spiritual needs. Our renowned Choir “Boyan” enhances our Sunday Divine Liturgy with traditional Ukrainian a cappella harmony.

Founded in 1908, our parish celebrated its Centennial Jubilee in 2008. Our current church building, completed in 1952 and beautifully renovated in 2007, is adorned with genuine art masterpieces, including extensive mosaic iconography and rare biblical mural iconography by Jacques Hnizdovsky.
