"Great place to hang out with friends and family"
"Jacob Riis Park, affectionately known as “The People’s Beach,” is a cherished seaside park located at the southwestern end of the Rockaway Peninsula in Queens, New York. The park, part of the Gateway National Recreation Area, features an extensive sand beach along the Atlantic Ocean and is home to several historic Art Deco structures, including the iconic bathhouse built in 1932. With lifeguards on duty during the summer months, it offers a safe and enjoyable swimming experience. Beyond the beach, visitors can enjoy a central mall, boardwalk, large parking lot, and various sporting fields. Jacob Riis Park’s rich history and recreational offerings make it a popular destination for both relaxation and historical exploration."
"Great beach."
"All beach areas towards Breezy Point are closed, except for one way, way in the back. Expect to walk, carry stuff about a mile and half. All bc of the birds they claim are protecting. Should move Johnny's there also, but no. Also Beach goers want to get a full tan, Idot Park Ranger has to say something about it...Get a life Ranger,..Live and let live."
"This is the Beach side of 169th St. The end of the cement block Promenade on the Riis Beach side to sand on the Fort Tilden Side (W.W.2 military base). As you go down 169th you will have the entrance to golf course that's next to fire station. About 20yrds past F.S. will be Walk/Bike path as well as the bypass to Beach Channel Drive on the Riis Beach side. As you pass the traffic light (B.C.D.) you can get to the Walk/Bike lane for the bridge."
