Reviews
"There’s a mean man here."
"I am a New Yorker and rarely come here with my family. As far as we know, this place is public, as they state on their official website: "FBGA is open to all New Yorkers, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or discrimination." However, yesterday when I visited this place with my wife and our two children aged 5 and 9, one of the gardeners called the police on us. The police then asked us to leave because someone had put up a new sign claiming that the place is not for everyone. I believe this warning sign violates the rights of New Yorkers and should be immediately removed to restore the right of all New Yorkers to enter this public place. Because someone decided to introduce new rules so that only gardeners can barbecue, plus the gardeners already have a separate area next to the public park. However, it seems that the gardeners have taken the entire public park for their own personal use, which is unacceptable."
"This is a private area, which is only open to people who have garden plots there, and their guests. I was only able to visit this community garden once, as a guest of a couple who had plots there."
"People should stop coming here to race and do burnouts! It's a park."
"Real nice set up. They have a semi private picnic grove for the gardeners. Restrooms are right there. Pretty big community garden. Plenty of sun. Ideal location."
