District 45 District Office

Welcome to the District 45 District Office, located at 1434 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11210. Serving the vibrant and diverse neighborhoods of Flatbush, Midwood, East Flatbush, Flatlands, Marine Park, and Canarsie, our office is dedicated to addressing the needs and concerns of our community under the leadership of Council Member Farah N. Louis.

Council Member Louis is a passionate advocate for the affordability and livability of New York City, championing fair and affordable housing initiatives. Her tenure in the New York City Council has been marked by significant achievements in protecting domestic violence survivors, enhancing public safety, and fostering opportunities for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and nonprofits. She has also played a pivotal role in expanding STEM education in public schools and advocating for maternal health and mental healthcare, securing over $5 million in funding for underserved communities.

As the Chair of the Committee on Women and Gender Equity, Council Member Louis continues to fight for housing affordability, quality education, reproductive rights, and equitable healthcare across District 45, Brooklyn, and New York City. A first-generation Brooklynite from an immigrant and pro-union family, she is committed to advancing social justice and fair representation for all.

Our district office is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and on Friday by appointment only. We also maintain an office at New York City Hall, located at 250 Broadway, Suite 1810, New York, NY 10007, open by appointment.
