"What was supposed to be a straightforward flight from NYC to Odessa turned into a 15-hour nightmare courtesy of Turkish Airlines' sheer incompetence. Despite paying for a ticket with a scheduled 9:25 AM arrival on September 4th, I didn't reach my destination until 12:20 AM on September 5th – a delay of nearly 15 excruciating hours. The ordeal began with an excessive delay of the NYC to Istanbul flight, causing me to miss my connection to Odessa. Instead of resolving the situation promptly, I was forced to obtain an unwanted $30 visa and spend two fruitless hours negotiating with an unhelpful Turkish Airlines representative to secure alternate transportation to my paid destination. As if the delays weren't enough, Turkish Airlines then failed to transfer my checked bag, leaving me stranded for two days without basic necessities like a toothbrush, clean clothes, or underwear. When I raised this issue, a representative callously remarked that losing bags is a common occurrence – a stunning admission of their inability to handle this fundamental aspect of air travel. The misery continued onboard the NYC to Istanbul flight, where the surly flight attendants seemed to take perverse pleasure in slamming into me every time they passed my aisle seat. Requests for assistance with the in-flight WiFi were met with outright hostility. One attendant outright fled from me after I summoned her for help, rudely instructing me to "go to the front of the plane" instead of addressing the issue herself. The question arises: if you despise assisting passengers, why become a flight attendant? What's most galling is that I was once a staunch Turkish Airlines advocate, frequently praising them as potentially the best airline. However, this abysmal experience – a journey marred by excessive delays, lost baggage, and unacceptably rude service – has forced me to reconsider ever flying with them again. No amount of money is worth subjecting oneself to such mistreatment. Turkish Airlines has lost a loyal customer."
"The number one airline that flies the most number of destinations and serve great meals multiple times during your flight and it is free. Plus movies and other activities on the monitor. Highly recommend!"
"Strongly not recommended! They stole my money for returning tickets. I can provide all the evidence in court. Even the customer service representative didn't try to hide facts that Turkish Airlines was cutting refunds. Because they know only a few people start claiming. I'm one of them. I paid $3260 for 5 tickets but got a refund after returning them for only $1025. You can't just call them to fix it. You should submit feedback on a website, it will be considered about 10 days. In my case they add $1120 more to refund. So they stole more than $1000 from me. Their main office in Empires State building is closed for customers, so you have to go to JFK and pay at least $24 for different train types. You can't call them there. All their systems are set up to avoid interactions with customers to which they owe. Beware of Turkish airlines!"
"Sat business from jfk to Istanbul, amazing experience. The airline is top notch with good service , comfy seats , and good food. The business class is more first class , lay down seats. They change the comforter for you mid flight and give you a nice blanket and pillow. We took the red-eye they give you an appetizer, dinner and breakfast. In between snacks the fresh juice was delicious. The alcohol was good , and the staff was perfect. Highly recommend the airline."
"Airline service and ground staff are very interactive and helpful. Airplane is little congested with lesser rooms per seat. Meals and drinks are good and ample. They have some local wines and beers too. Terminal 1 duty free section is awesome too."
