Welcome to Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, a vibrant place of worship located in Elizabeth, New Jersey. We are delighted to have you with us and invite you to explore the rich history and dynamic community life of our parish through this website.

As part of the original Christian Church, founded by Christ and chronicled in the New Testament, the Orthodox Church maintains an unbroken connection to the teachings and traditions passed down from Christ and the Twelve Apostles. We warmly welcome Orthodox Christians from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds, as well as newcomers interested in learning about our Orthodox Faith.

Our mission is to grow in union with God as a family, following the path of salvation while embracing and sharing our Orthodox Christian beliefs. As Stephen Robinson eloquently stated, "The Orthodox Church is evangelical, but not Protestant. It is orthodox, but not Jewish. It is catholic, but not Roman. It isn't non-denominational – it is predenominational. It has believed, taught, preserved, defended, and died for the Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost 2000 years ago."

Join us for our Sunday services: Orthros (Matins) at 9:00 AM and Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM. Please note that weekday services are held on select dates, which you can find on our Parish Calendar.

As part of our commitment to community service, we hold a Food Pantry Collection on the third Sunday of each month. We encourage you to bring nonperishable food items, which can also be donated at any time in the hall.
