"Only reason I'm not giving it a 1 star is because the only friendly face is the maintenance guy there. 1. Claim on site they have climate control. During winter, it can get chilly, but during the summers... forget it. It gets hot. You can't move your finger without sweating through your clothes. 2. Never seem to have rolling ladders in their designated locations. It wasn't a problem before. But how they seem to dissappear. They make you go to different sections and look for a ladder. I'm surprised the staff doesn't tell you to head to the basement and find a rolling ladder. And if you arrive 30 minutes before closing and this is the situation you're in, you can forget about getting anything in or out from your unit. Because of their "LaSt CaLL". 3. Dismissive front desk staff. Lately, it's like pulling teeth with the staff. I don't even want to deal with them most of the time. Like I mentioned before, about looking for rolling ladders. Had a situation where I couldn't find a rolling ladder in my section. I told the about, and they made me double check. Went back to the front desk, and I told them I couldn't find it in the designated area, and the employee finally decided to come check. The amount of stress of getting up was a bit insane. Walked around for about 5 minutes after she pointed one out and had to roll it through the maze to my unit. It was a bit time-consuming, but now I know to request a rolling ladder and stick around my unit. 4. Prices go up and up with zero upgrades. I'd like to see more upgrades or at least some A/C or lighting in the units. They increase your monthly bill but usually don't see any type of changes around. The last time I saw a change was when they added the pin pad to open the gates which was pretty cool. But other than that no changes have been made. Only silly problems after another. Like I mentioned from the beginning. The only person that really puts an effort around there is the maintenance guy. He's very helpful and really deserves better. He always greets you when he sees you and asks how your day is going.. and he legit wants to know."

"Had no issue until recently. Ive been a loyal renter at the albermale location 14 years . No missed payments . My storage ( 10x11 unit ) went up from $434 to $ 524 . A couple of blocks away at 92 caton the same sized unit is running $404 without the newcomer discount . I contacted customer support and was told that all locations have different pricing. So i asked her am i better off moving to that location . She said its your preference. Cube Smart does not take care of their loyal renters. I think a $90 increase is ridiculous"

"Do not put your stuff in here, it will get ruined! My husband (who unfortunately has a less sensitive nose than I do apparently) initially rented a unit on the second floor and the first time I went I immediately noticed the whole place smells very musty like mold and moth balls. We had been planning on moving everything out to a cleaner place but unfortunately didn’t have time to do it quickly enough. All of our belongings were covered in yellow powdery mold, mouse poop even though our unit had nothing to attract mice, and the cardboard boxes all collapsed as if they had gotten wet. It’s now a nightmare cleaning everything up and we have to throw away anything that’s not washable for safety. The clothes that were wrapped in layers of plastic have a nasty smell that takes several washes to get out."

"I just rented a unit this afternoon and was impressed by the quality and efficiency of their service. Cathy was happy to show me a few units at varying sizes and gave me recommendations based on the items I intended to store. She made the experience simple and straightforward and helped me feel confident in my rental choice. I would highly recommend this establishment and would encourage people to go in person if they have any questions because the service is exceptional."
