Reviews
"Update: I learned many of the board members who had taken over have been replaced my more mature and inclusive individuals!! Overrated, pigeonholing, superficially seems very nice but on the inside mainly bullies and manipulators, with the leadership being a few outcasts who never had social control/power trying to have a “cool kids” club and run a shul on their own terms so that they don’t have accountability. There is a lack of community unity because of the contaminated board members."
"Orthodox synagogue Nice shul also perfect place for small events. Orthodox shul(lubavich) warm welcome place"
"A truly racist, queerphobic and event judgemental towards other non Orthodox Jews. Frummies love living in their bubbles and cliques while claiming to value all. Womxyn are treated secondary and not allowed the same access to performing. The prices on food and art is overrated and attitudes poor."
"What an amazing synagogue, the crowd of worshippers is so diverse and flavorful. The prayers are led in song and dance the unity and the atmosphere is just electrifying. The Torah reading is explained in a way that makes it enjoyable to follow along with the person reading. The refreshments after the services are great. An amazing variety of enjoyable foods. If you are looking for an uplifting and spiritual and enjoyable shabbat service in the new york area, this place is my first recommendation"
"This place is hands down one of the grooviest synagogues I've been to in America. The crowd is warm, the davening is amazing (and Carlebach Friday nights), and the chullent is off the hook! Great spot for Purim, Lag B'Omer, Shabbat and Holidays all around!"
