Welcome to the Karl and Helen Burger Gallery, a vibrant hub for art enthusiasts located at 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, New Jersey. As a distinguished art gallery, we are dedicated to showcasing diverse and compelling artistic expressions that captivate and inspire our visitors.

Our current exhibition is the culmination of our summer fine art intensive, featuring the extraordinary creations of young, emerging artists. Under the guidance of our dedicated Art Educators, these artists have honed their skills, embraced their unique styles, and explored a variety of artistic influences. This intensive program not only fosters technical growth but also encourages individuality and creative exploration.

In addition to celebrating young talent, we are thrilled to present "Hemingway in Comics," an exhibition offering a fascinating perspective on one of America's most influential authors. Through a blend of fact and fiction, this collection delves into Ernest Hemingway's transformation from a literary giant to a pop culture icon, as depicted in various comic book narratives alongside characters like Superman and Mickey Mouse.

Our gallery also proudly hosts a unique community initiative—the Temporary Mural Project. We invite Kean University students and community members to collaborate with renowned artist Mashell Black in creating a mural that reflects the diverse spirit of our community. This project is a testament to the power of art in uniting individuals and celebrating shared identities.

Visitors can also explore Gail Winbury’s "Field of Green," a series that exudes mystery and calm through its minimalist approach, and Heather Williams’ work, which poignantly addresses themes of damage and repair through her Caribbean and African heritage.
