Reviews
"Understaffed and overbooked. Appointment at 10am. Waited 1 hour just for 3 people to be seen. Will probably have to wait another hour or two."
"I visited the irs in june of 2024. My experience was absolutely great for those who would like to get their tax transcript. They do walking, no appointment is necessary, I only wait approximately 20 mins. The service is so great"
"I see these negative reviews and I actually walked out after my appointment today with a smile on my face. Going to the IRS office used to be worse than going to the dentist that doesn't use Novocaine. Everybody was polite and cheerful and very helpful. The worse part was getting there through the Brooklyn traffic."
"I mean they couldn’t help with without an appointment. Which I get. Also *note if you get an IRS advocate , you can’t go to an IRS office and be seen. Because your case going to the advocate, because they work closer with Congress, I think was said. I mainly wanted to make a post to help others with finding the damn place lol. It’s also quite odd and industrial before you get to the actual office but it’s clean so I didn’t have a problem. Maybe just a bit confused. I didn’t get to sit down with someone but I did get valuable advice - just be nice and they will be nice back. Goes for all these offices. Here are UPDATED PHOTOS so you can find it. It’s on a side of a building with an entrance. It faces the square. It’s the BIG BLUE BUILDING."
"There’s no number on the building but don’t give up, you will eventually see the small sign taped to the front door: IRS. Your bag will be searched, you will have to remove your coat and be searched top to bottom. 2 officers with guns on guard. The staff was pretty nice I guess."
