Reviews
"I wake up with a huge depression but didn’t want to spend all day in bed because I know that would be worst, so I decide to bike in the cemetery to clear my mind a little bit, is so beautiful, clean and quiet, I sit under a tree to write and cry with this beautiful view to Manhattan, it really helped me a lot"
"Beautiful hilly cemetery. It's a great place for peaceful strokes if you don't mind too much the background noise of the cars. It reminds me of Green-Wood cemetery, but I find it less vibrant than its larger sibling."
"A 5 mile walk in the peacefulness of long since passed company. Views of Manhattan and hints at bigger stories in the stones. Some stunning typography, crafting of remembrances. A good place to be on a cool winters day"
"I love this place to just walk around and be outside. I used to walk here before 2020 on weekends or when I'd have a day off. This place has been a great comfort since covid started, very peaceful, easy to socially distance, never crowded, before views of the city. The staff always gives a friendly wave when they drive by. I love just walking around and reading the headstones, imagining their histories. Hours 830am - 430pm."
