"Absolutely lovely firefighters who take the time to explain the equipment and answer questions. Thank you for being there and making New York a little safer every day."
"Walked by a few times but bay doors were not open until today. Training exercises going on outside and asked if could see the memorial of Engine 4 and Ladder 15 crew who perished on 9/11. Moving and sad knowing these brave men went to work that day and never returned home."
"I tripped and fell Fri 11/10/23 across from fire station on a visit to seaport from Syracuse. Face planted on my nose. They were returning from a call and several firemen/women came over to see if I was ok. The "commander" asked if I wanted to be evaluated and convinced me to go to the firehouse. They gave me an ice bag and watched me and chatted. They were so caring. I wish I had gotten some pics since I am an avid photographer but I did buy a t shirt. I will never forget their generosity and caring nature. What a great bunch of people. NYC is so lucky to have them."
