Upon entering, you will be greeted with an aura filled with love. What warms my heart the most is that everyone at the mandir welcomes my babies. Everyone encourages the little ones to explore and become familiar with the environment. My Mamoo (Uncle) Sonny and my cousins all contribute to the success of this historical establishment. The Hindu Dharmic Sabha Mandir of USA was founded with the goal of creating a sacred space for families to engage in faith-based worship as Hindus and participate in cultural traditions. This establishment is a historical pillar in Jersey City. The mandir is a sacred space. While all are welcomed, individuals must honor the sacredness of the temple and must not desecrate the sanctity of the space. For this reason, alcohol is strictly prohibited. Thus, I engage in a dramatic plea to the general public to remember this if selecting the mandir as a venue for weddings or other events. Mamoo (Uncle) Sonny is an individual of honor who holds firm to dharma. He protects the mandir with his entire being. We must be respectful and engage in dharmic behaviors while in this sacred, holy space. The Hindu Dharmic Sabha Mandir of USA is definitely home for my family and me. "Gosh, what an amazing atmosphere to walk into. Happy Diwali! Beautiful mandir and the entire HDS community shows so much love and care for each other from the minute you walk through the doors. I forget what a lasting impression Uncle Sonny has on all of us with his music and the way he explains to you while he’s singing. Today was a great reminder that no matter how many years pass you by, when you walk through those doors, uncomfortable is not how you describe your experience there. I was home again."

"Great Mandir! Service is from 9:00-10:30 every Sunday Morning. It is not very long and great teachings are provided. To those considering the negative reviews- please note that might have been 4 years ago or later and any temple owner would get worked up about keeping their temple spiritually clean. I wasn't there but at the end of the day we are all human, things happen and as humans we learn and move on. Don't let this stop you from coming and having a first hand experience. They are starting to have some really cool events, so keep in touch and message their Facebook account."
