"Updating this: Bergen has of the worst Post Offices in Jersey City. I can't even articulate how lazy and disrespectful these people are... it's insane. A “Miss Lisa” works here. She’s arrogant, rude, and should find another job. I have a missing package and this hag tries to shame me in front of customers because she had to look for it. Is that not her job??? Burger King is a better option for her since she clearly doesn’t like her job. If you absolutely have to come here, prepare to wait in line for AT LEAST 30 minutes. An hour is likely. Understaffed is putting it likely. This place is a joke."
"I don't know if this location is worse than any other, but my address had no outgoing mail service for the entirety of last week. Yesterday, the station manager promised the mail would be collected that same day and it was. The week did include the July 4th holiday, and I could imagine there are a number of potential explanations beyond any individual person's control, including both the station manager and my carrier. The disappointing fact is that my outgoing mail service has been inconsistent for years, while the USPS has the capacity to consistently fill my mailbox with political flyers and "current resident" junk mail. The vast majority of the mail I receive goes straight into the trash. Then, I effectively need to pay a trash company for disposal. While that is happening, the "Priority Mail" mail package I paid $10-$20 to ship takes 9 days to get delivered instead of the 2 quoted when the postage was purchased. And the tracking information never reflects reality. I'd be willing to bet staffing and other capacity adjustments are made based on metrics derived from the inaccurate tracking information."
"Yall're just being mean. This post office is the only one in JC I've found that is, without fail, always open during the posted hours. The employees there have never yelled at or otherwise been mean to me or other patrons in my presence. While that is a super low bar, that's kinda the government agency standard. Plus, I am always able to park my car and be in and out efficiently. I leave feeling like I got something done, but more importantly like I'm part of a community worth leaving the house to be part of."
"Ok so let's absolutely disregard my name matching both lovely employees here, but I just had the best morning experience with Lisa and Lisa. They helped me with questions I had about shipping my package. They were really attentive to me and other patrons. Lisa didn't mind helping me even after making a mistake and the other Lisa also gave me information on the post office being closed tomorrow- so I could make an informed decision on which way to ship my parcel to get it to its destination fastest. I obviously will be going back. Someone needs to give them a raise!"
"They're refusing to deliver my package to my door. I'm not sure if they're too illiterate to read my address or mailbox correctly or what. All I know is due to their lying and incompetence I am out 93 dollars. The BEST part, the usps website won't even let me file a claim to get my money back. This whole location needs to be fired and re staffed with people that have common sense and can read. Update: I got a message from usps "customer support" telling me my package would be delivered TODAY.... They lied to me. Tracking shows they never loaded it onto a truck this morning and tracking still has the last date of the 4th saying they were unable to deliver and would deliver it on the 5th...."
