"Extremely moving monument to remember a tragic and terrible time in the United States. The atmosphere is somber. People from all over the world come here to pay respects and to remember those we lost in this horrific attack. You could hear a pin drop even with hundreds of people in the area and despite being situated in a noisy city. I really recommend stopping here if you’re visiting NYC."
"A beautiful memorial to remember the lives that were so tragically lost on September 11th 2001. Reading all of the names along the edges of the two pools was very impactful and emotional. I’m glad this memorial was built, and that nothing has been built over it, because I feel it respect the victims."
"As a young man, I watched the attack live on TV, and it had a big impact at the time. Now, more than 20 years later, I was able to visit the memorial at ground zero. Even though I understand the importance of this memorial for many people who lost loved ones, I was a bit disappointed. None the less, this is a must visit when in New York."
"Very well kept and tidied and I noticed on certain birthdays or anniversary’s, a flower is put with the name. Such a beautiful way of honouring the people who sadly were involved in this, NYC have done well to keep this area respected, cleaned and peaceful"
"They allocated a lot of NYC land for the memorial. Two big water falls which makes the place very relaxing and calm. It plays with the visual and the audio to bring a different experience to it. I wish the traffic noise and the helicopter noise could be eliminated but hey, it is NYC after all. The first time it open, it was a 6 months long waiting to get tickets. Now, it is open to the public with no tickets. The inside memorabilia museum is worth to check it out but I couldn’t find the time for it. You should sit at the liberty park and enjoy the view of the freedoms tower. Also you can take a better picture up at the liberty park than at the memorial."
