"I was unable to reach them because they don't have any phone numbers whatsoever. This is bad in the case of an emergency, I get that they are Hero to many, but are also unavailable to some. Whatever the reason, I believe that having access to Engine 7 would be greatly appreciated by the locals in your immediate surroundings."
"After 22 years…. I send all my love to Ladder 1 from Germany. You showed to the whole world what hero’s u and all the firefighters and first responders are. Not only that day, every day. U gave us hope back in these dark times about the good in humanity, about true friendship and what a hero is all about. Thank you. We will always remember you. Thanks to Jules and Gedeon who made this deeply touching documentary, without them we would have never had a chance to get to know u a little bit and what your job means to all of us, no matter where we live."
"Childhood dream. That was on my bucket list when in NY. Cool people you can talk to and they are always happy for you to take photos inside. There is something cool about these places in NY. Go there or any other one in area. You will be welcomed for sure."
"I remember when my Dad worked here in the early 80s. I would come by all the time, and stayed the night once here. As a child I never understood how important my father's job was. Or how great it felt being in that uniform, driving those fire trucks at a moments notice. Thank you FDNY heroes, for all of your sacrifices I know its not easy! #FDNYKID"
"After 24 years I was back in this firehouse. Since that moment a lot has happened...... All doors were closed but the door opened 2 seconds after I rang the doorbell. The men were all very friendly and curious to know who we were. I brought some pictures that were taken 24 years ago. And I took a lot of new pictures. My family were also very happy with this nice experience. I will come back when I’am in NY again."
