"Still to this day I will never understand how we had 2 different court dates. These people are not helpful at all."
"Court system is horrible. It has been 5 years of delays and rescheduled court dates for custody of my stepson. Mother was on drugs, no job, no stable housing, history or domestic violence and assault, not showing up to visits, not showing up to court, feeding my son foods he is allergic to....but they still won't grant custody. My son has NEVER lived with her. Came straight out the hospital with his dad. She had another kid that tested positive for drugs and they are giving that kid back to her now too. SMH. Horrible place and they do not care about the best interests of the children."
"My experience with New York County Family Court has been exceptional. Unfortunately, I had experienced abuse from the inside and out from a former relationship, but Amanda G. Katz has been exceptional and has made me feel 100% protected now within NYC. The process of filing was lengthy, but the staff expeditiously handled my petition. Super grateful to NYC family court for protecting me from my abuser. Thank you so much!"
"I went on Wednesday afternoon and was seen right away. The staff was very helpful and friendly. After sitting in the waiting room I was able to analyze a painting which was very disturbing to watch. Please look at the painting in the bottom. What are they trying to say that every child father is incarcerated, that every one of COLOR is an immigrant and that most of the families are from the Dominican Republic! Please explain? I'm very offended that this the painting that is hanging up in a FAMILY court! Next time show a better painting that promotes family unity!"
