"Beautiful Romand Catholic church that has been well kept and well loved. I felt very welcomed here and will def come back for mass when I come back to NYC"
"Very good church and not as loud or hot like the local churches in fort lee. However the Chinese classes in the other building suck. During the pandemic, the teacher doesn’t even know how to do the zoom meeting correctly."
"The Church of the Transfiguration, also known as the Little Church Around the Corner, is an Episcopal parish located at 1 East 29th Street in the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The church was founded in 1848 and is famously known for its commitment to the theater community, particularly to actors and actresses. It received the nickname "the Little Church Around the Corner" after it offered funeral services to a well-known British actor, even though he was not a member of the church. Since then, the church has continued to welcome and serve the theater community, hosting the annual Blessing of the Animals ceremony as well as concerts and theatrical performances. The church building itself is a notable example of neo-Gothic architecture and features stained-glass windows, a bell tower, and a pipe organ."
"Beautiful place to visit. The whole area is full of small business, many places to eat and shop for cheap souvenirs around here."
"Beautiful historic stone church located in Chinatown. My great- grandparents were married here in 1870 so it holds significance for me. The lovely wooden interior belies its origins as a Protestant church. Masses are offered in English, Spanish and Chinese."
