"Beautiful Catholic cemetery with impressive monuments including of German immigrants. It was founded in 1879."
"We had a very, very bad experience dealing with the cemetary on Richards Ave, with regard to getting my father’s headstone. Excuse after excuse, as to why his stone had not come in after one year. Promised every week. Canceled the stone. They refunded $$ then made us pay almost $1000 extra for the base, because the cost for the base had gone up. Do not order your headstone from them. I contracted with another company and had headstone within a few months. Really horrible customer service in a very difficult time. Absolutely no accountability. Difficult post to make but all of this is true."
"We have been sitting here for 2 hours waiting for them to accommodate our grandmother’s funeral. She’s had this plot for years but it’s deteriorated. They are not willing to accommodate a new resting place for her. This is unacceptable."
"This is an incredible cemetery close to Forest Park, I went there looking for famous mafia figures buried there and if you do some research before getting there, it is possible to find a good half dozen of the more famous mafiosi, I uploaded a picture of the resting place of Lucky Luciano in his family's chapel where he is buried under his real name, Salvatore Lucania. The columbarium where Gotti is resting is interesting too with several references to the prodigal son....A definite MUST for anybody wanting more information about New York's mafia history."
"I went to St John's Cemetary today to visit my Mothers grave site. The 15th anniversary of my Mothers Passing. Was this week. I also planted some Daisies which looked good and as perennials and will come back exery-year hopefully. My Family have Many relatives Interred at This Cemetery. The Cemetery is lovely with trees grass and Mosuleams. They have over the years built many niches for cremation Urns. They are very nice looking. They do a good job maintaining the grounds. I find the grass and trees relaxing to think."
