About the Business
Welcome to New York City Housing Preservation, your dedicated local government office located at 120-55 Queens Boulevard, Queens, New York 11424. We are committed to ensuring affordable and equitable housing solutions for all New Yorkers. Under the leadership of Mayor Eric Adams, our office actively participates in groundbreaking initiatives like the "Money in Your Pocket" program, designed to deliver financial benefits directly to residents across more than 20 neighborhoods, making New York City more affordable.
Our office is also proud to support the city’s efforts in commemorating significant historical events and achievements. Recently, City Hall and other city buildings were illuminated in yellow to honor the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition. In another historic move, Mayor Adams announced the largest civil rights settlement in city history, safeguarding New Yorkers from housing discrimination.
We are actively involved in the city's development strategy, as shown by the executive order requiring city agencies to explore city-owned and controlled land for potential housing development. This initiative underscores our commitment to expanding housing opportunities in the city.
Moreover, our office is at the forefront of consumer protection, exemplified by the recent lawsuit against WAY.COM, aimed at safeguarding New Yorkers from illegal parking companies. We also celebrate the contributions of New Yorkers like Al Roker, who was recently awarded the Key to the City for his impact on broadcast journalism.
Stay connected with us to explore resources for child care, career, and business services, and find public computer centers offering free Wi-Fi and digital skills training. "I reported multiple times to HPD no one ever came out but they said they inspected the unit, something is definitely fishy about how they are conduction business"
"This one star is because they really took the time to deal with my case. The reason we came here today to check if there is any other violation under our property. I go there and fill out my form every year, and they say I'll get the receipt in two weeks and fill out the bed bug inspection form. I haven't received one for three years in a row. One of the employees was very loud and had a bad attitude. She confirmed my address, printed a piece of paper and gave it to me, and then called the next person. I asked if I could borrow the pen to fill it now and hand it back? She was very impatient and said that I should bring my own pen. This attitude really annoys me. And I told her I don't really understand one of the question and needed help filling out the form, so I asked her again. Another employee said that everyone here has questions to ask, and you have to wait. Okay, I could understand and I signed and waited in line again for at least 30 minutes. when I asked her about the questions which I didn’t quite understand. She said unkindly, "You don't understand and neither do I." I was shocked to hear that, seriously? Also, my family and I was in there for at least two hours and we witnessed how you treat Asians differently. We left very unhappy and angry!"
"So many comments here that seem to be angry... I'm assuming these landlord are just collecting and not doing their job. Sorry people who pay their rent as agreed on the lease you guys made up on rental agreement should be followed accordingly and not broken. Bums?yea ok there are some who have made it bad for actual good tenants that pay rent on time and up to date. Then you got sketchy landlords who wrong the good tenants. There are soo many slumlords who try to get by on tax payers specially tenants on voucher programs that also are working. You the landlord are collecting that tax dollars too. So hypocrisy is a thing with you guys. HPD you do your thing and keep our kids safe from these lead hiding slumlords!!!! And keep being nasty to them. If they have a problem with that tell them "well you should of gotten issues fixed not go on vacation trips and put the issues aside as you collect." It will catch up.. mock my words. One way or another. You will get caught."
"Worst service I’ve ever experienced get a ticket and get no help , then they say get another ticket apparently they do favors to help if they want I’m guessing you have to tip them money to get what you want. NYC Building department is a scam who ever is In charge I hope they see this"
"Why is there a no star option??? Do they ever answer the freaking phone? Tax payer's money at work. I'm trying to get some information on a moving container!!! I'm trying NOT to break the law. Anyone???"
