"Arrived 2 hours late, and I wanted them to check my anode rod. They didn't check anything. They took a picture of my water heater and said they would get back to me. The we're here all of 3 min, in and out, and did nothing, and I'm still waiting for their call back, most likely didn't want to help me, lazy and unprofessional in my opinion."
"Jim is highly experienced and you know when you work with him that he is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and has decades of experience. He is someone who my manufacturer recommended who could complete warranty repairs. Not all HVAC folks are willing to do warranty work on systems they did not install. Jim was willing to do this, which was incredibly helpful as my installer was no longer in business. Last fall, a warranty repair was needed to get my heat going. He worked with the manufacturer to ensure the part was covered and was prompt in his work with the company and installed the part within a week."
"The plus side...I spoke directly with Jim, who is a great plumbing and heating guy, lives local, does business local, etc. and that I've relied on for his furnace knowledge for a long time. He said he was busy but he would fit in time to look at the furnace in the next couple of days. The minus side...Granted, he did say he was busy, it is winter, but this time he obviously over committed and under delivered because after 10 more days of calling, leaving messages, with the nice lady that answers his service phone, I still got no response, I was forced to ask friends for recommendations. Jim and Burris Heating came up frequently as good at what they do but not very available. I have since contacted another company recommended by friends, and the problem is resolved. Note: To this day, 3 weeks later, I still have not heard back from Jim or the Burris office."
"EDIT: I just wanted to come back here and mention that they never ended up fully fixing our furnace. When we called back quite some time later they were still apparently waiting on parts. Our furnace was fully fixed by somebody else. Below is the original review, but take it for what it's worth. The original review was a year or so ago from this edit. We have an electric furnace. A heating element was running while the blower was off. It did take some time before they were able to come, like 3 weeks-ish for the appointment. Though it is getting to be Winter, so it's understandable. They showed up on time. I really really appreciate places like these making appointments. We have had far too many instances with other places that just show up whenever, that don't communicate when they can't come and just ignore our calls. They were able to get us so at least one heating element was running properly, and we need to wait for new parts, but we have heat now and we're grateful for that. They also didn't try to salesman us with other unrelated work which is something I really appreciate. We've had other people come in to look at replacing subfloor for example and they wanted to fix some other issue outside our house and included that in a quote. Overall I'm very grateful and happy. I think there have been other instances before this where we've tried to contact Burris and have gotten no response. That's the number one thing I feel like places need to improve on, and that's just communicating with their customers. But the person that came to do repairs was nice, honest, and got us to a point where we don't have to freeze, so again, I'm very grateful. Thank you!"
"Especially in light of great reviews and high recommendation from our contractor, we are very disappointed. We started calling over a week ago regarding a leaking water tank. We had an appointment for 1-3pm last Thursday, but received a call around 2 that it needed to be changed to 3-5pm. Then we received a call close to 5 stating they were not able to come that day. When asked if they could come out on Saturday, the receptionist didn't think so, but told us to call back the next am (Friday). We did and were told they could not do Saturday, but would come Tues am between 9-10. We again arranged schedules and transportation. By 10am noone had arrived or called. We called and left a voicemail. I called on Wednesday and spoke to someone around noon who stated she would speak to Jim and call me back. After no response, I left a voicemail that afternoon. It is now Friday am and still no response or explanation :(."
