"Try a little less entitlement and a little more understanding. This is the largest city in the most congested state in the country and budget priorities go to basics like public health and safety. I actually see these folks 3-4 times a month. They don't want the process to drag on any more than you do and and NO ONE is EVER stealing time. Walk a mile in the overworked and understaffed shoes of everyone in Room B23. Until then, be an adult and be patient."
"Doesn’t even deserve one star. Disorganized and impossible to work with. No phones are answered, no messages are ever returned, and on the rare occasion that they are returned, they do not even provide correct info, therefore leaving you back at square one. Good luck to anyone dealing with this department."
"By far the worst run organization I have ever worked with. I just called to get a status on my permits and the lady answered the phone and started yelling at me I didn't even get a chance to tell her what I wanted before I just hung up out of frustration. The sad thing is now I'm stuck! Newark we can do better!"
"If the devil himself created a city this would be it, the most unorganized, uneducated staff i have ever dealt with if there was a reward for sucking Newark would be the grand champion, Maybe the mayor should spend more time focusing on making this township better instead of staring in half star movies."
"One of the WORST City departments I've ever worked with. No one EVER answers the phone when you call, but when you show up to their office you can see exactly why. Everyone is on theirs cell phones, B.S.ing, or they're always talking about what to get for lunch while completely ignoring that you're waiting to be attended. I truly do not know how this department is functioning. Only helpful people there are the inspectors."
