Giele (1861-1932) in Victorian Gothic style. The architect was a German-American, born as Ludwig Heinrich Giele in Hanover, Germany, where coincidentally I spent most of my childhood."

When he learned of my Father's cancer a few years back, he consistently asked him how he was doing and prayed with him. During the last two months of my Dad's battle, when Father Joe learned that he was in the hospital, he visited him in the hospital. We never had to ask. He simply went. When I visited my Dad that day, my Dad told me he was touched that Father Joe called him Friend. This meant the world to my Dad and I will never forget this simple act of kindness.
