"Nice museum devoted to extensive history to Jackie Robinson's life. It's not that big, but there is much to see and learn about a man of great stature and character whether or not you are a baseball fan such as myself."
"For the past two years, it's been on my bucket list to visit the Jackie Robinson Museum. I wanted to end Black History Month by remembering Robinson. Today, I visited at the perfect time. The museum was empty, but not for long. The museum exceeded my expectations, and I had a wonderful time viewing the historical content regarding Pasadena and learning more about Robinson."
"Great experience here at the Jackie Robinson Museum. Decided to visit on a Friday in the early afternoon. It was very quiet there with only about 7-8 other visitors there at that time. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for children. There are also some discounts available including Culture Pass throughout the New York Public Library Program...so be sure to check before you go. The Museum is all on one floor but has lots of great informational exhibits. As the name suggests, it focuses on Jackie Robinson and takes you through his life and struggles as he excels through his baseball career. It also goes into his military experience, background in other sports and activism. While it was still interesting for me, someone who isn't much into baseball, I believe this would be an absolute must for any baseball fan...moreso any Brooklyn Dodgers fan. All staff I encountered includng security (bag check), registration desk, and gift shop counter staff, were very nice and helpful. Easy access by Subway: one block from the 1 train and two blocks from the ACE trains, both at their respective Canal Street stations."
"We were in New York last year and the museum was officially opening a few days after we had to depart, so we planned a return visit. You don't have to be a baseball fan to appreciate this museum. It represents a solid piece of American history and does a fantastic job in chronicling the life of Jackie as well as his wife, Rachel and their family. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU PURCHASE A MEMBERSHIP which provides complementary entry tickets. We took the subway to the Canal street exit and entered the museum. Again, the venue is packed with lots of artifacts and information. A bigger hit is the gift store which offers some great items. Staff is very friendly and made our experience very positive."
