"This fire station is great and the staff is nice but why do they have to start the lawnmower to wake up entire neighborhood every morning at 8:30 am?"
"I went in there bc my sister had a ring stuck on her finger and they were SO SWEET and all helped get it off without having to cut it. In less than 3 minutes! LOVE THEM"
"In 1997, I moved in a building close to FDNY Ladder 20/Division 1. Though I did not know anyone there personally, it was always very nice to cross some of the bumblebees (firemen) doing their grocery shopping at some deli nearby. In general, NY has always had a deep appreciation and gratitude to its fire people. On 9/12/01, I actually went personally to the fire station after hearing they had lost 17 of their men during the 9/11 attacks. As I was placing flowers and candles on the ground, I felt my legs giving in and I fell on my knees. The emotion was too strong. One fireman helped me get up and as I bursted in uncontrollable tears, he held me in his arms. I finally was able to get a bit of control myself and, slightly embarrassed, I mumbled that I had come to show my support but instead they were the ones who helped me. Later on, I decided to volunteer for the station and spent almost two years helping with videotaping testimonies from families of firemen who lost their lives that day. I will never EVER forget what FDNY Ladder 20 did for all of us. Though I lost contact with them, I will carry them in my heart forever. Merci beaucoup Dearest Fire People"

"I love talking to the officers here. They are very friendly. They let tourists take pictures here."
