"Quiet. Contemplative. Not really well tended. So Many cut off trees which symbolise the burial of small children. Literally rows of these. But the bathrooms are clean and they give you very clear maps which they highlight so That you can find the graves you are searching for Difficult to find an opening to drive in to the cemetery the only way in is in 54th Street"
"Kever of the only Rizhine rebbe buried in the United States. Many people have davened here and seen yeshios. There is no longer a need for a key to enter the ohel. The door which is kept closed is generally unlocked. פועלט אלעס גוטס!"
"Well-maintained site, but super overcrowded with headstones. Be careful when walking around to find your relative so as to not trip over or disturb the closely aligned gravestones. Maintenance does a great job with trash. Barely any."
"Fascinating huge Jewish cemetery with a lot of history! Dating back to late 1800s. Still active cemetery. Marie in office super helpful. Looked up the exact gravesites of ancestors I was trying to find by pulling out old original blueprints, then marked a xeroxed map for me to help me navigate."
"I saw this place when driving to deliver some furniture to New York and was amazed by how many graves there are here! At first, I thought it was a factory that made headstones because they almost looked stacked, they were so close together. Pretty surreal landscape :o"
