Thanks to the help of Rebecca, Edgar, Victor and others who were kind and courteous to us with our concerns and helped get the ball rolling on this Still concerned about the process of getting timely assistance and the fact that so much effort was needed in order to correct a mistake MADE BY THE COMPANY. Original Review: DESPITE HAVING SOMEONE WITH A SERIOUS MEDICAL CONDITION IN THE HOUSEHOLD, NYSEG was UNABLE to assist us with turning back on the electricity that they ERRONEOUSLY turned off until Tuesday after the holiday. I am absolutely disgusted by the response by this company to state that they would deny someone with healthcare needs running water for 72 hours. We have called five times and each time the person answering the phone was perfectly pleasant. However I feel this is a major oversight that something like this would happen by THEIR OWN DOING!"
"I hate this company.. they over estimate your usage, never answer the phones and stole money.. yes you saw that right.. they pulled an extra 600 out of my account for a bill that was already paid. When I called them I was told I'd have to wait 3-4 weeks for them to mail me a check.. thank God CFCU was able to reverse the transfer.. I have called 3 time now to have my letter fixed and upgraded.. 2 of the times they made an appointment and never showed (I work from home).. the last time I was told they could not get in to the calendar to schedule the repair and would call me back; no call back.. now I'm being charged 15 a month because they say I opted not to change my meter.. they are crokes and should be shut down.."
"We were one of three customers without power after a second day of bad storms. Within 1.5 hours of notifying them they were able to identify and repair the issue within a wooded area on the property. The whole crew was kind and very respectful. Excellent performance"
