"It used to be a nice park, now it's a perpetual money pit of shady government contracts. They cut down too many trees, put up a fence that won't do anything to keep anyone out AND makes the place look like a minimum security prison. When will it open? Good question. Probably just in time for the mayor to throw a private fund-raising party or two. Keep an eye out for your local government employees using it for their own personal recreation. It's a popular spot for the police to go fishing. FYI the park closed for renovations on April 17th, 2021 so to date it's been closed for 3 years and 3 days."
"Best kept secret, been my sanctuary since 2004. Back when there was a bunch of graffiti, beer drinkers and the place was locked up all the time. They have kayaking on weekends and a nice dog run around the top perimeter. Great place to go hang and read a book."
"A beautiful place hidden midst the city! I believe the place is maintained by volunteers. I go for fishing or canoeing there. Should definitely visit for pleasant experience."
"Beautiful! Volunteers are informative and helpful, they even had bug spray handy for visitors. Will absolutely go back."
