"The two stars I'm affording this company are for the cleanliness and convenience of their building. I've had an 8x10' unit for almost a year now and have always felt good about the facility and the security of my things. The three stars I'm not giving this company are, first, for the blatant dishonesty the sales agent in their corporate office served me with when reserving my unit. To make a quota, I'm sure. Won't get into it much here but I'd be happy to provide any details that would allow management to listen to that phone call, which I assume was recorded. Second, my initial unit rate went from $141/mo to $163/mo after four months, to now, $243/mo, ten months later. No notice given, which they're required to do 30 days prior. (I was given a refund for the price difference for one month after I spoke to someone at the front desk about this, which was appreciated.) Interestingly, the text message notifications I receive to let me know that they've auto-charged my credit card each month stopped including the actual price amount charged after this. It's NYC, I get it. Storage space is expensive. But it's hard to not feel resentful toward their business model. They get you in at an affordable rate, which you budget for. Then jack up the price, though the product and service you receive remains the same. I understand this is how a lot of storage unit companies work but $100 increase per month in less than a year? My advice to anyone looking to rent from this company is.. plan on your unit price going up exponentially over a short period of time. And if a corporate sales agent promises you that they can reserve your unit two+ weeks before your move-in, and that you won't have to start paying until that time, they're lying. Moving out :/"
