"Someone call my father at Citibank. I tried to call the branch to find out why they call but it was busy so I was directed to the call center, but going nowhere because I only have the account number but not the card number. Also the system doesn't recognize my father's SSN, it doesn't have an option for me to speak to a live person. All I got was a recording sorry they do not recognize our account and said to call back other time. There is no customer service and no communication. Terrible banking experience."
"The worst customer service ever. I came to setup a direct deposit from my business account. The lady there told me that she’s busy and told me to email her. I emailed her 2 weeks ago but never get any response. What happened to Citibank. I am a 30 years customer and can’t even set up something."
"My rating is not about this branch, it is about the Fraud Alert Dept. On Dec. 2023, I made a credit card charge, around $5000 in a jewelry store and got denied. At the time, my account has 6 digits. I went to the branch to withdraw the money, but was told that my account is locked and I need to call the Fraud Dept. to confirm that I am who I am. Please note, I am standing in front of the teller with all my licenses and bank cards. I don't know what their problem is, but I don't have the time. I don't know if I should do a DNA test, but whatever. After that, my account stayed locked and I received a letter to call the Fraud Dept. I called, and gave the 10 digit code on the letter, and gave them all the answers. Then they go on to ask if I ever try to change my phone number with Citibank in the last year and when.... Whatever retarded question, they can ask nonstop. After 20 minutes of torture, I got mad. I wanted to talk to the supervisor, but the person hung up on me. The same thing happened 2 more times, instead of giving me the supervisor, two more customer service personnel hung up on me. Finally, I had to go to a branch, have the manager call with me. The person wants to go into the whole nine yards with the questions, but the branch manager said the customer is just sitting right in front of me with her licenses and bank card, can you just unlock the account? After a horrible 4 months of experience, I got my 6 digit account unlock, and I closed my personal accounts right away with the branch. I finally write a review because I have another horrible experience with Citibank Business account. I did not close them at the time because a lot of business is involved. I will close the business accounts eventually, but I really curse the day I open my personal and business account with Citibank."
"I just came to this branch today 12/11 @15.33, I was standing there and the one that suppose to ask what is my purpose visit the branch was busy chit chat with the teller. There’s a lady with the long hair , her desk right on the right side from the entrance ( i forgot to see her name) , she saw me came but DIDN’t said anything! Then i keep waiting until the other lady whose busy chit chat with teller to turn around, but then i decided to ask the long hair lady . I told her that i need the balance verification letter , then she said it’s called referral letter, she ask me if I’m a gold customer or regular? I said regular, then she said there WOULD BE $25 FEE for referral letter. REALLY???I told her how come when i called manhatan branch last time they never mentioned any fee?? Then she ignored me! I left and i called the manhattan branch that i called last time , i told them i need referral letter, she said i can just come , i ask her if there’s a fee for referral letter? She said NO ! Not only call manhattan branch , i also called the other 3 chinatown branches after from 2 mott street branch, ALL said NO FEE! How come there’s no fee for referral letter at manhattan citibank branch and orher 3 chinatown other brances , but there’s $25 fee at 2 mott street citibank branch???? If you’re going to charge me for the wire transaction for $25 that’s make sense but for a piece of paper for referral letter you’re trying to charge me for $25 that’s crazy , and you’re the inly one that trying to charge me $25! UPDATED: On 12/12 i went to citibank manhattan to get my referral letter with $0 fee!"
"The worst bank every!!!! Or branch!! I been calling this branch for the past week and the phone just keep telling that all the employee are unavailable. Did you move or what? Or is your phone number on here just a piece of decoration! They just keep turning me to the center call when I have stuff to deal with this branch. When I call the center, they were just pushing it to the branch. When I told them, this branch is not answering call, they were like we can't do anything. Is this your citi branch, what do you mean when you can't do anything!"
