"This Bank is Disgrace I am Surprised they are still Open. My father Died. Me and my Brother were beneficiaries on Account..The bankers and Manager had no Idea how to do the Job. They said we needed copy of Birth Certificates and Id and they would Contact us. They never Did. Me made fight tooth and Nail to Finally Settle This Account by going to Another Branch. THIS BANK IS THE WORST."
"Came in a few days ago to see if I can have something waived for an unexpected payment going through my account, Spoke to the manager VIEJA who first off asked if I was a “prospect client”, (way to make it obvious some people get special treatment than others) Stated to her that this is my first time asking for a fee to be waived since opening my account more than 5+ years ago, and if they are able to do a courtesy just this once. Manager VIEJA Refused and said since it is not an error the bank has made, fee will not be waived. I asked if I was a “prospect client” would the fee have been waived, she responded “perhaps” and said it’s not possible. I ended up calling Webster customer service, asked if they were able to do anything with my situation and without hesitation they waived what I asked and resolved my issue Manger VIEJA should know how to be discreet when it comes to handling customers “prospect” or not so it’s not as obvious who u pick and choose to waive fees. Bare minimum she could have done is give alternatives solutions to see how my issue would be resolved. Instead I had to go out of my way dialing the 1-800 number to see if they can help me out due to her refusal and incompetence and lack of good customer service. Came to the conclusion she just didn’t want to even bother with me. Avoid this branch at all cost, shame it used to be a better institution with better management."
"the WORST branch of all.!! This branch has a HABIT of keeping the customers waiting.!!!!! I pulled over the drive thru to deposit and I told the lady to give me a minute to fill out the deposit slip she seems so unhappy about it and starts doing something without looking at me she had me wait for almost 10min!!! Unbothered to look at me , another lady came instead and took my deposit and again there's NO customer there inside or outside but me !!! HORRIBLE !!! I was banking in this bank for more than 15 yrs since it was still Astoria, and the only reason why I'm still using this is the convenience of it next to the subway nothing else, but i will close my account because this branch is really getting WORST and I had enough it's insane !"
"This is THE WORST BANK EVER. Such a lazy staff. They’re the main reason I closed all my accounts. For instance, I had a safe deposit box and every time I tried to access it, they would just so happen to lose the signing in card for MY deposit card out of all other people! Then, they make it mandatory to do auto pay for my deposit box fee when I preferred paying by cash. On top of it all, when I went to sign in at the customer service desk to actually close my accounts yesterday, one of the staff members deliberately crossed out my name without calling it out. I was skipped over purposefully. It’s shameful how the staff at this bank targets people who make a stand persist them to do their job instead of sitting around and being lazy. If you want good service from a bank, I recommend TD or Citibank. Seriously!"
