"I love coming here so much; Quogue is beautiful town with great things to offer, the library being one of them. I didn't even know Quogue had a library being such a small town, but it was a pleasant surprise! My friends and I loved the community garden (which is coming along now that it's April,) as well is the fine detail that went into the schoolhouse museum. The library itself is a lovely little building with a ton of history and personality. It always smells great (weird detail but true,) and I love how unlike other libraries that get noisy, there's an enormous study room that's closed off, with plenty of space and a real fireplace, the personal lamps on the table adding a comfy touch. About two years ago we navigated a particularly gross winter, and just about every Wednesday my friend and I were in the area, so we'd stop in the study room and do a puzzle while warming up. I also love how much sun gets in, rare for libraries, adding more optimism on a sunny day. The children's section is great too, it's well organized and peaceful. On the way out, there's always art to see. Definitely a library to recommend when you're craving something mellow in the stunning town of Quogue!"

"Just showed up here by following "the coastal evacuation route" from Dune Rd. This will be our "out-of-town local library" to come out to during the "off-season" (September-May), as advised. It's truly breathtaking to walk through the part of the library that was initially built in 1897, the pictures I've took don't do justice for what it's worth- you really have to be there and for that feeling of time traveling, so to speak. The Librarian at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind in explaining these fascinating details and programs that they run throughout the year. For example, they have a program for children to read to a dog and have ongoing events each month (I'd advise to go-to their website, although I'd recommend that you go first hand see what they have there in person). The Quoque Library was shut down for 3 years for renovations and reopened it's doors in June right after the lockdown. I was memorised by the fact that all of these renovations were done through community donations and not one tax payer was charged. One family even donated an entire room! It's truly a privilege that my Connetquot library card goes such a long way for having services available like this for all of us. Thank you and God Bless!"
