"A wonderful caring Dr. Very good with all of my animals. I have had many cats, guinea pigs, and a dog which he cares for very well."
"I took my dog to Dr. Fassett on an emergency basis after he began having problems with one of his eyes. I had had him groomed two days before and he had been squinting and rubbing it ever since. I assumed he had something in the eye so I had been irrigating it with saline solution. When that didn't help, I called my vet but he was out of town, so I took him to Heritage. Dr. Fassett was rude to my dog... scolded him saying "Shame on you, shame on you" when my dog showed his teeth. He also tapped Donnie on the nose with the instrument he had intended to use to look into Donnie's eye. He did not get close enough to my dog to really see what was going on with his eye before diagnosing him with conjunctivitis and prescribing drops. He then very abruptly informed me that my dog has cataracts. My dog also had a hot spot for which Dr. Fassett prescribed the same meds my regular vet had previously prescribed and I took the medications and left. After using the eye drops as prescribed til finished and not seeing any improvement I took him to our regular vet. My dog has not previously had any problems with vets or other handlers (he is a Cocker spaniel so he has been handled plenty by vets and groomers) and the vet was able to use dye and a light to see a scratch on his cornea. They also fully checked his eyes and assured me that he does not have cataracts. I would not take any of my animals to Heritage again if you paid me. An utterly horrible experience!"
