Welcome to the Kearny Fire Department, proudly serving the community since January 4th, 1888. Located at 402 Kearny Avenue, Kearny, New Jersey 07032, our fire station is committed to providing exceptional fire protection, emergency medical services, and community support to the residents of Kearny and its surrounding areas.

Our dedicated team of professionals works tirelessly in cooperation with the local governing body, municipal departments, and community groups to ensure the safety and well-being of our community. The Kearny Fire Department boasts a rich history, originating from the "Volunteer Firemen of Arlington" formed in 1880. Over the years, we have grown and evolved, adapting to the needs of our community and embracing advancements in firefighting technology and techniques. Today, we operate four stations, covering an area of nine square miles and serving a population of approximately 40,000 residents.

Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our storied past, from the formation of various fire companies in the late 19th century to the introduction of motor-driven apparatus in the early 20th century.
