"I showed up at the terminal August 11th at 11 AM for the 355 bus to American Dream it’s my first time taking this transportation and the second I asked for help the worker was very rude I was slightly confused and she had rude attitude with me immediately I thought that was bad enough already but as I went to get on the bus the bus driver not only gave my friend a disrespectful attitude she was also ableist towards me the lady blonde and had curly hair my friend had made an honest mistake with her ticket and needed to get a new one we had nicely asked if she could wait but instead of just saying she couldn’t she gave us a mean face and tried to rush me up the stairs even though I struggle with them. I’m heavily disappointed with the service I received I was being very nice and respectful however all I was faced with was attitude, rude looks, and comments. If I could give zero stars I would I felt extremely discriminated against."
"We came to New York 16th July 2024, needless to say we used the port authority bus terminal. Went straight to ANGELA ERVIN in the information booth - the most helpful, happy, smiley, upbeat and jolly official we could have encountered. Her knowledge and direction was accurate and greatly appreciated. Each time we went through we looked for her . She is a great asset and the perfect first port of call for information. We went back to say bye to her , we hope we see her again if not port authorities please note you have a great employee there."
"Have used this terminal for hundreds of trips to Boston from Manhattan via Greyhound, every weekend exactly (and some weekdays), for two years+. First, the process for purchasing a ticket and finding your terminal is incredibly easy and every attendant is waiting to help you. The food/drink spots (adult drinks as well) inside are great and there are endless options, plenty of waiting/eating areas to pass the time (people watching is a crowd favorite), the staff is as friendly and helpful as can be, there's tons of retail shopping as they have dozens of commercial storefronts, they offer countless ways to occupy yourself, and lastly but most important, the options and availability of busses to different cities at all times, 27/7, all across America is unmatched. Port Authority is without question one of, if not the biggest bus/mass transit depot in America, along with Grand Central, also here in NYC, as well as being one of the nicest and best operating in all aspects. It runs so smooth it almost begs the question, "how?!" But it does. Other cities, like Boston and its "South Station" should take notes considering its a jam packed and chaotic mess every single time I've been through there. Which again, is in the hundreds. Don't even get me started on the area outside of it. Can't even get close to the station. It's a nightmare. NYC has Boston beat again ;)"
"The lady who’s checking tickets doesn’t allow pregnant women to go first (avoiding the line), even if the line is long for hundreds of people (bus 158 precisely). The delays make it even worse! I hope she will never experience situation when she’s in need and doesn’t get proper help."
