"Nice vibes, went there for jogging. Love how easy access with the subway directly!"
"The quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of Manhatten. Take the tram at least 1-way! I only got to explore the southern end of the island (FDR Point) but those views of Manhatten and Queens were some of the best imo."
"Roosevelt island is close to midtown Manhattan within 2-3 subway stops and I have used an opportunity to hike the island at lunch times. Relatively small size of the island allows to walk around its perimeter in about hour and half while enjoying water views of Manhattan and LIC. Beautiful parks at northern and southern tips of the island. Summer breeze due to being at mid East River location is an advantage over typical city walk."
"Beautiful in the Spring with the cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms seem to have different schedules so be sure to visit multiple times. Some bloom in late March, some in early April and some in mid April. Beware of crowds on weekends."
