"Applying for passport at this location is torture. My husband, I and our 4 week old baby went to apply for a passport for our newborn. The lady there was basically harassing us. She called herself "the only passport officer at the location" and she didn't want to print copies of our passports (because the printer was too far away she claimed). Although USPS offers printing services and charges for that. There was also a family she served in front of us that spoke something in Marrocan, and she got annoyed and told them "you are saying something about me in a foreign language". They had to explain to her that their language was Marrocan and that is what they use to communicate with each other. The post officer's behavior has no excuse, terrible customer service."
"Went for my passport and the lovely lady at the counter assisted me in every possible best way. Made everything a breeze, answered my questions to the best of her knowledge, and provided the best service possible. They are genuinely awesome people and went above and beyond. I truly thank you with all my heart!!!"
"I went in for my passport , first time . the lady was so welcoming and friendly. Ms.Basptiste was amazing she answered all of my questions , gave me patience and made the whole experience so welcoming."
"Went to the Roosevelt Island Post Office on Monday, March 4, 2024 at approximately 1:40 PM. For some reason the front automatic doors wouldn't open for two elderly ladies trying to access to the inside. After a few minutes, a young light skin female clerk came to open the door. She asked me what was I there for, and I told her that I wanted to purchase a money order. She then informed me that the PO was closing for a time not made clear by her. No proper explanation was given only "today we're closing for a while". Anyway, as I waited some TWENTY MINUTES PLUS ON LINE, there was just myself and an elderly woman still waiting on the line. This young girl kept sashaying back and forth playing doorman and gatekeeper with the front post office doors being busy doing NOTHING. Only one clerk (male ) was ACTUALLY WORKING with a male customer ahead of me. Then she got verbally rude with the elderly woman behind me when asked a question. When she FINALLY found herself behind the counter, she still played like she was busy doing something. This child played games avoiding taking care of either of us ONLY TWO CUSTOMERS IN THE ENTIRE POST OFFICE. Finally, after THIRTY PLUS MINUTES, the nice male clerk took care of me and a five minute transaction took OVER HALF AN HOUR TO TRANSACT. I'll give the male clerk Four stars for his professionalism and efficient service. That young girl gets FIVE ZEROS FOR BEING A TRIFLING LITTLE SMART MOUTH, USELESS IDIOT. I don't know her name, but whoever reads this, knows exactly whom I'm referring to. And I hope she reads this review and get her non-working self together. I hope her superiors see this post also. A Tip:... DO BETTER!!!"
"Today I had an appointment at 3:15 p.m. and we arrived like 5 minutes later for my baby's passport, the lady at the counter was very rude to my husband and me and my baby was there scared, why does she work like such a nasty person? My God. to argue that she would have helped us but no... plus our way to get there was long... we told her that instead we encountered a lot of traffic and she responded that that is not her problem... and other things. .. besides my husband begged her to help us and she was very rude at that time. I told my husband not to beg or ask for forgiveness...then he got angry and things got worse...and he told me to repeat what I told him. I told him no. I didn't say anything and we went from there...we were very sad and scared...I hope they hire nice people and love their jobs..."
