"mosque is NOT open 24h. Came to pray around midnight and the brother told me it closed after Isha."
"Ma Shaa Allah a nice mosque serving it's purpose. May Allah bless those who are taking care of it."
"I grew up in the neighborhood where this Masjid is located so I have a special connection to it. Went there the other day because we were passing by and it was Zuhar time. Very nice Masjid in a busy area with a nice atmosphere. I do wonder how they did with the Jummah crowd since the space seems limited. Not sure if they acquired additional space on the top floors. Noticed they also have a community fridge for food for those in need outside the building, that's a nice touch!"
"Conveniently located near train station. Has a separate entrance labeled FOR SISTERS but it’s locked. After knocking multiple times, standing near the door for a good five minutes and trying to get someone to open it- a brother finally emerged from inside. The space was being used as his office/ living quarter. After being led through this area- I was told the actually prayer space is downstairs (of course). Completely detached; no speakers to hear imam. There was a strong smell of mold. Did not stay long."
"The mosque was established in 1980. It is located in a very convenient place in Astoria near 36th Ave subway (N & W train) station. It is the closest mosque for Long Island City neighborhood as well. Mosque is always a place of peace and blessing for the people who believe in God."
